General Homestead (Owner Occupied) Exemption for Single Family Rentals

Similar to the General Homestead (Owner Occupied) Exemption, this exemption applies to Single Family Homes that are RENTED.
In order for the property to qualify, the Tenant must occupy the home as of January 1st AND be liable for the payment of real estate taxes with respect to the residence in accordance with the terms and conditions of 35 ILCS 200/15-175.
Exemption must be renewed annually and submitted, along with the signed lease, by the July 1st deadline.
